It’s a fitting day for red, white, and blue. First, to honor the past and all who fought for the freedoms we now enjoy.
But also to reflect on what we need to do now to help guide those freedoms to benefit and protect all.
Celebrate your patriotic spirit in a light-hearted fashion by creating DIY patriotic gnomes.
Adorn your home with them or use them as party decor. Gnomes also make a lovely gift.
If you are not from the United States, create them for yourself using your homeland’s colors, symbols, or emblems.

Gnome artist Ruth Johnson made all of the handcrafted gnomes on this website. You can shop for a handmade gnome at her Etsy Own a Gnome Shop.
To purchase or get inspiration, visit her Own A Gnome Facebook Group.
Ruth has also graciously shared her gnome-making tips and tricks that she has gleaned over the years, and they are sprinkled throughout these gnome posts so that you can easily learn to create your own DIY gnomes.
