Let me show you how easy it is to make homemade Baileys Irish cream at home.
This copycat version of the famous Bailey’s Irish Cream is delicious and so darn fast and easy.
It’s perfect for a quick homemade gift if you find yourself at your busiest this December!
You will love it, and if you give it as a gift, so will your friends and family!
This made-from-scratch Irish Cream tastes almost exactly like the original Baileys.
Irish Cream ingredients include heavy whipping cream, Irish Whiskey, vanilla, almond, chocolate, and instant coffee granules combined with sweetened condensed milk.
This all adds up to a rich, decadent, and creamy alternative to store-bought Irish Cream. YUM!
The do-it-yourself recipe is made even better due to the fact that you know every ingredient going into the mixture.
Another bonus is that it uses ingredients and equipment you already have on hand.
Glass Liquor Bottles
If the presentation is important to you, invest in pretty bottles to hold and display your custom Irish Cream.
Any of these bottle options would work great for a gift. However, you may have to double or triple the recipe based on your gift list and the size of the bottles.
I purchased the first ones below (The six swing top 8.5 oz. bottles) and made one batch of the recipe.
The recipe filled 6 bottles with enough Irish Cream left (a glass) to sample, taste, and enjoy!
The bottles below are all available on Amazon.
If you do not care what the bottles look like, just use leftover containers or empty salad dressing bottles. 😁
When you think of Irish Cream, you likely think of Baileys.

The original retail version of Bailey’s Irish Cream does include dairy. However, in 2017, the brand launched its vegan version, Baileys Almande, which is made dairy-free with real almond milk instead of Cream.
Alcohol Free Baileys
You can also enjoy a version of Bailey’s without the alcohol.
These non-alcoholic options have all the creamy flavors of the classic liqueur, with tasty flavor additions, such as espresso and spices.
These recipes are easy and quick, just like their full-strength sister. Just mix and serve.
It’s a wonderful option when you are going alcohol-free.

How to Store Homemade Baileys after Opening
Keep your homemade Irish cream in a sealed, airtight glass container in the fridge. Shake it well before serving.
How Long Does Homemade Baileys Last
When stored in an airtight container, homemade Baileys should last up to 2 months in the refrigerator. The alcohol helps preserve the mixture.
Be sure to smell the liquor first to ensure it hasn’t spoiled.
Watch for signs of spoilage, including a sour odor, separation, a change in color, a lumpy texture, or mold on the bottle’s surface, neck, or cap.
Can you Freeze Baileys
No. You should not freeze Homemade Irish Cream liqueur. If you put it in the freezer, the milk portion will separate from the alcohol. You will have a slushy mess and it is not recoverable.
Let me know if you make the recipe! I know you will love it. Thanks for stopping by!
