This sauce is my go-to sauce for bold flavor. It is perfect for zoodles or pasta.
1 T olive oil
1 lb grass-fed ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 T minced garlic
1 – 30 oz. can of tomato puree
1 – 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper or to taste
Heat olive oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion, cook until meat is brown, stirring frequently. Drain.
Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a low boil, stirring often. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 45 minutes. Serve immediately.
