A bowl of zucchini noodles spaghetti.

Zucchini Noodles Spaghetti

Spiralized Zucchini covered with Chunky Tomato Sauce. This sauce is my go-to sauce for bold flavor. It is perfect for zoodles, lasagna, or any kind of pasta.

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lb grass-fed ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

1/2 tablespoon minced garlic

one 30 oz. can of tomato puree

one 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon thyme

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper or to taste

If using zucchini noodles, spiralize according to machine directions. Or prepare your regular spaghetti noodles. Set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion, and cook until meat is brown, stirring frequently. Drain.

Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a low boil, stirring often. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 45 minutes.

Two options for combining with your noodles. Add your zucchini noodles or regular pasta to the sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes. Or pour your sauce directly into your serving dishes over the (uncooked) zucchini noodles or (cooked) regular pasta. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Zoodles. You can buy zucchini noodles in most grocery stores, but I promise you, making them is so easy and fun! Also, it’s much healthier and cheaper in the long run. Kids will also love to make them. It’s fast and simple.
